Installation of Sean’s HSB Paint Tools
You must have Photoshop Scripting installed for the PC or Mac.
This installation guide cover the Windows installation. The plugin is untested on the Mac. Anyone wanting to send me a Mac with PS7 installed will be thanked with a set of Mac installation instructions.
Unzip the contents of the archive into your Photoshop 7.0\Presets\Scripts folder. If you do not have a scripts folder under Presets, you need to be sure you have installed the scripting plugin.
The scripts are accessed through a set of Photoshop Actions. The Action set will also unzip into the scripts folder. You can leave it there, or move it if you like.
WARNING: Adding the following action may overwrite custom bindings for Function Keys 2-7.
Once in the Action Tab, access the sidebar menu (the little circled-arrow in the upper right hand corner), and add HSB_Widgets.atn. That’s it for the default installation!

F2: Brightness Down
F3: Brightness Up
F4: Saturation Down
F5: Saturation Up
F6: Hue Down
F7: Hue Up
Pressing a function key will adjust the value by 1.
Pressing shift+function key will shift the value by 10, for a quicker, coarser adjustment.
Known Bugs
I’ve only found one problem. If you press the function keys too rapidly, you will get a warning from Photoshop that an action could not be completed because another action is in progress. Just dismiss the dialog and go back to painting.
