Sean’s HSB Paint Tools (Scripts/Actions)

This is a collection of scripts and actions that allow a painter to use the keyboard or Wacom Tablet shortcuts to make coarse or fine adjustments to Hue, Saturation and Brightness.

If you do a lot of painting in Photoshop, you really ought to give this a try.

AyeEye Action

Pick a foreground and background color. The foreground will be the outer color, the background the inner color. Run the action and be amazed as an iris pops out the other side. Layers are preserved for tweaking. Bump map generated for use in 3D.

The action come in two flavors: regular and more irregular. The more irregular action produces an iris with more internal variation than the regular flavor. Also add is an Add Flecks action, which can be used after running AyeEye, to add Flecks and defects to the iris. It can be run on the AyeEye image at any time, be sure to select a layer above the Primary Color layer, but below the Whites mask. [example]

Topomatic / Topomatic Discrete Bands

Make fake topographic maps. [ Example ]

Bloomer

Add a specular bloom, or highlight glow to an existing image. [ Example ]

Clouds

Generate algorithmic clouds. Start with an empty image. [ Example ]

Tie Dye

Using the fg/bg colors, create unique tie dye style images. Can be run more than once with different colors for layered effect. Start with an empty image. [ Example ]

Schmootz

Create a dirty noise layer, like a chipped, crumbling cement. Start with an empty image. Creates an image suitable for bump mapping or embossing. [ Example ]

Chips/ChipsMore

A subset of Schmootz. Use Chips to create a sparsely chipped surface. Use ChipsMore to add more chipping to an existing Chips image. Start with an empty image. [ Example ]

Rorschach Set

Create Rorschach Ink Blot style images in a variety of fold axes. Start with an empty image. [ Example ]
